3rd Annual CHOZEN AWARDS (CA) will honor and recognize the achievements of an exceptional group of women in Atlanta during the,
Women of Distinction Brunch, on
Sunday, March 27, 2011.
The brunch will be held at the historic
Paschal’s Restaurant (180-B Northside Drive SW, Atlanta, GA 30313) from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. In addition to a southern home-style meal, the event will provide an intimate and interactive forum that will allow attendees to connect with the honorees through a moderated discussion, Q & A, giveaways, a shoe auction sponsored by Headline Boutique, and more! Closing the event will be a special musical performance by R&B Recording Artist Lou Battle.

Drexina Nelson;
Jennifer Bonnett, founder, Startup Chicks; Mary Wilson, executive director of the
East Point Community Action Team, Inc. These successful women will join the prestigious company of WNBA Head Coach

Nina Brown, who were all honored during the 2009-2010 CHOZEN AWARDS.
“This concept has been on my mind for some time now,” says Liberty, Founder of the CHOZEN AWARDS. “After last year’s event, I felt like we recognized a dynamic group of innovators, however, something was still missing. Since these women have come so far, and there are so many of us who are still trying to find our way, what better people to turn to for advice, than those who have made great strides in their careers or respective fields.”
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to 40 Girls and Some Shoes, a nonprofit organization designed to provide shoes for the homeless of metro Atlanta. 40 Girls and Some Shoes will also be on-site to collect shoes with hopes of reaching a goal of 1000 pairs of shoes donated by March 31.
"Being in this male dominated industry, I am more than honored to be recognized as a trailblazer for the next generation of young women,” says, Drexina Nelson. “While many people choose to be in front of the camera, I feel that it is necessary to showcase their beauty from the other side. It's important to me to show young women that with drive and determination, they have a place in all careers regardless of how many times they hear the word no, (they should) continue to strive for success and greatness and the sky is the limit.”
