THE CHOZEN AWARDS CLOSES WITH STYLE AND GRACE
The awards reception announces winners and honors Atlanta trailblazers
Atlanta, GA (March 26, 2010) – The sunny weather set the stage for the 2ND Annual CHOZEN AWARDS cocktail reception last night at the Artist Trifecta Gallery in Atlanta’s Castleberry Hills district. Streamed live by CLEAR, the “gold carpet” was hosted by Tammie Reed (Talking with Tami) who greeted each nominee and honoree before indulging in delicious foods, drinks, and savory desserts.
“Atlanta is filled with such immense talent and brilliance,” said Liberty, founder of the CHOZEN AWARDS. “And by creating this platform to showcase the creativity and hard work of our nominees, which I know will inspire others, makes all the blood, sweat and tears that made tonight possible was well worth it.”
Hosted by Grace Lee (Atlanta G Spots), Dewayne Rogers (The Fly Guy Chronicles), and Vincent Martinez (Fashionado.net), the highly anticipated community-based awards recognized the unwavering efforts of individuals and businesses that give back to the community and are often unrecognized for their efforts.
“The CHOZEN AWARDS are what Atlanta is all about. The city of Atlanta has fast-become ‘Mecca of the American Dream,’” said Panama Ibarguen, Publisher of Real Atlanta Magazine. “For those dreams to come true, we need to recognize our unsung heroes.”
Rae Elle from The Style Suite said, “We partnered with the CHOZEN AWARDS in order to give back to some of the most prominent and gracious givers that provide our communities with jobs and better living opportunities.”
In appreciation of Women's History Month the CHOZEN AWARDS also honored six dynamic women across Atlanta. An unforgettable speech was given by Elisabeth Omilami (Hosea Feed the Hungry) while saluting Dee Dee Cocheta-Williams (A.B.C. Publicity), who said without Cocheta-Williams, Atlanta would not know that Hosea is working not only during the holidays, but all year long. Margarita Ayes graciously accepted her salute from presenter Anthony “Spark Plug” Thomas (People You Need to Know Magazine). Other special honors were given to Nina Brown (Frank & Wanda Morning Show Producer at V-103), Marynell Meadors (Head Coach for the Atlanta Dream), Monica (National Recording Artist), and Dr. Catherine L. Ross (Georgia Institute of Technology Professor).
This year’s sponsors included Artist Trifecta Gallery, Real Atlanta Magazine, ERAJ Media, Tandem Productions, The Style Suite, CLEAR, Red Bull, Bang!
